Customer Team Leader

Location: The Co-operative Food, Eastern Road, Ashburton, TQ13 7FL

Pay: £13.99 per hour

Contract: 16-30 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent part-time contract

Working pattern: varied shifts including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing) and weekends, to be discussed at interview

We're looking for Customer Team Leaders to join our team at our new store in Ashburton. We have a range of contracts available which we'd be happy to talk through with you at interview.

You must be aged 18 or over to be a customer team leader at Co-op, as you'll need to authorise age-related sales.

What you'll do
  • Friendly and thoughtful service – you’ll give friendly, welcoming, easy, helpful and thoughtful service every day, working in our in-store bakery often taking ownership for managing the store and handling challenging situations.
  • Develop your team's capabilities through coaching and training, fostering an inclusive culture where everyone's voice is valued and respected.
  • Make sure that the store remains safe, legal, and fully operational.
  • Manage diligence checks and stock accuracy to make shopping a great experience for our customers.
  • Support your store manager by deputising when they're not working and delivering a variety of HR processes.
  • Lead the way when introducing new products and services in your store – work closely with your team to implement change and encourage open and honest feedback.
  • Build relationships and get involved in your local community, supporting your Store Manager with the delivery of the local Co-op community plan.
