Job summary

The Customer Team Leader at Co-op Bridlington will oversee day-to-day store operations, leading the shift and ensuring excellent service. You’ll energise the team, coach staff, and model flexible, customer‑focused leadership that keeps shelves stocked and customers satisfied.

This permanent, full-time role offers varied shifts, regular overtime, and employee benefits including staff discounts and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• Must have passion for people and leadership.
• Ability to work flexibly and lead by example.
• Experience in retail, merchandising, or team management (not essential).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth.

Customer Team Leader

Location: 3 Martongate , Bridlington, YO16 5YS

Pay: £14.48 per hour

Contract: 39 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent contract, full time

Working pattern: A mix of opening shifts, middle shifts, and closing shifts. At least 2 shifts will be closing and at least 1 will be at the weekend. We’re happy to discuss your availability further at interview.
