Job description

Element has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales / Customer Services Representative to join our sales team on 12-month maternity cover contract. The sales team deal with pricing and issuing quotations to our extensive client base with requests being received from all over the world. Full training will be given. We are looking for someone to come and join our team and support in dealing with our daily tasks. This is a great opportunity to learn about the client facing roles in Deeside and see why we do what we do. Element Deeside is the largest analytical chemistry laboratory within the Element Group and the market leading UK laboratory undertaking the testing of soils, waters, wastes, oils, NAPLs, ambient air, soil vapours and gases from all over the world. The laboratory undertakes high volume routine analysis as well as offering bespoke method development, technical support and hydrocarbon forensic interpretations to enhance the support we can deliver. The laboratory has an international reputation for service excellence and supports clients that require a higher level of technical expertise, reliability in data quality and seamless project management from sample collection to timely delivery of data.

  • Issuing quotations and reviewing job files to ensure the correct prices are applied prior to invoicing
  • Responding to incoming enquiries & liaising with existing customers, using phone, email, web conferencing etc.
  • Developing and following up on quotations in a timely manner, providing clarification and modifications when required
  • Actively utilising the Customer Relationship Management (Dynamics 365) system to record enquiries and activities and manage opportunities. Reviewing and processing proforma invoices prior to issue
  • Other ad hoc duties as required. Ability to work flexibly in a busy environment with an established team and processes.
