Location: Cambridge, CB24 4UQ – Hybrid working

We are now recruiting for a Customer Service Coordinator to join us!

You will be responsible for providing sales and administrative support to our Sales Managers, working closely with customers to support existing and ongoing sales and business opportunities.

The role operates within a small team servicing and communicating with our customer base to understand their requirements, update them on timelines, handle any complaints and provide them with end to end administrative support from point of order to delivery.

As our Customer Service Coordinator you will be responsible for:
  • Act as a daily point of contact for Sales Managers and key customers, handling general enquiries and providing updates on orders, stock levels, and despatch schedules.
  • Manage customer relationships via phone and email, gathering stock requirements, forecasting needs, and monitoring aged stock on behalf of both the customer and Saica Flex.
  • Liaise closely with Production and Planning teams to ensure all customer lead times are understood, communicated, and met, using data to maintain accurate, up-to-date information.
  • Deliver a consistently high standard of customer care, developing strong and supportive business relationships with key accounts.
  • Identify and resolve customer issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare weekly/fortnightly/monthly reports and data for customers when required.
  • Work with the Finance Shared Services team to ensure accounts are paid and any disputes are resolved promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal departments Production, Accounts, Planning, and Sales to share information and maintain smooth, clear processes.
  • Support wider sales activity by promoting the business, its products, and its capabilities at every opportunity.
In order to be successful in this role you must have / be:
  • Computer literate – specific experience of MS office in particular Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Customer Service or Administration NVQ advantageous but not essential
  • Previous customer service experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of dealing with customers via telephone and email communication
  • Experience of general office administration & working closely with colleagues in other departments
