Job summary

Compass Group UK&I Defence, Government and Energy services is recruiting a part-time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence, contracted to 24 hours per week.

The role involves maintaining high hygiene standards, supporting safe environments, and working a morning shift pattern from Monday to Friday. Experience is beneficial, but training is provided for Defence sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning roles with attention to detail and hygiene.
• Good organisational skills and a flexible approach to shifts.
• Willing to work mornings and adapt to shift pattern.
• Ability to work safely in Defence/government site environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise designated areas to a high standard.
• Dust, sweep, mop and vacuum to maintain hygienic environments.
• Ensure surfaces, floors and touchpoints are kept clean and safe.
• Report spillages quickly and assist with routine cleaning duties.
• Manage and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with cleaning and facilities teams to support operations.

We're currently recruiting a part time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence, contracted to 24 hours per week. As one of our dedicated Cleaners, you will help to deliver on our promise to always create the best and brightest experiences for our clients and customers. If you're a committed Cleaner looking for a role you'll shine in, we've got the position for you.

Here's an idea of what your shift pattern will be:

• Mon: Mornings
• Tues: Mornings
• Weds: Mornings
• Thurs: Mornings
• Fri: Mornings

Please note: This role is contracted to 49.2 weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

Our ideal Cleaner will:

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
