Summary

The Customer Service Advisor is the first point of contact for the Adult Care Teams within the Care & Wellbeing Hub. The role involves handling a diverse range of contacts, often complex, sensitive, and emotive, from the public and professionals via telephone and email. The core purpose is to apply a strength-based approach to gather information, offer appropriate advice, and determine the most suitable outcome for the customer, supporting residents to stay safely at home and access vital services.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the initial contact for the Adult Care Teams, Lincolnshire Carer Service, and/or the Wellbeing Service.
  • Deal with a diverse range of contacts via telephone and email from members of the public and professionals.
  • Utilize call control, professional curiosity, and excellent communication skills to gather relevant information.
  • Advise on and direct customers to information, advice, and access to the relevant Adult Care services.
  • Receive and process contacts relating to reporting a safeguarding concern.
  • Employ a strength-based approach to enable positive change in people's lives and determine the most appropriate outcome for the customer.
Essentials
  • Experience of working within a busy Customer Care or Customer Service Centre environment.
  • Experience within a social care setting is preferred but not essential.
  • A passionate and customer-focused candidate. Ability to use excellent communication skills. Ability to be flexible regarding working hours.
