Purpose

To be the first point of contact for customers, listen attentively and communicate effectively to deliver exceptional customer service at every interaction, ensuring a faultless supply of quality goods.

Your Duties Will Include
  • Provide a polite and professional first impression for customers calling for advice and to place orders.
  • Build a rapport with customers, listening attentively to input orders accurately and efficiently on the system.
  • Ensure that all incoming calls are answered within the set target times and in a welcoming and empathetic manner.
  • Monitor and verify all orders received, ensuring accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Liaise with customers regarding stock shortages and special orders.
  • Handle all general enquiries and ensure that more complex customer queries are escalated.
  • Encourage further sales where possible through short‑dated or over‑stocked goods.
  • Update system with any relevant information received.
  • Understanding the business and obtaining knowledge of both the company and our customers.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Good telephone manner
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to solve problems within the area of work
  • Able to multi‑task and prioritise workload appropriately.
  • Accurate and thorough with attention to detail
  • Self‑motivated, able to work on own initiative
  • Understanding of a quality focused environment
