We are looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team. This role is hands‑on and requires someone who can think quickly, multitask effectively, and bring energy and professionalism to a fast‑paced bakery environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service, greeting and assisting customers with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Serve cakes and pastries, including cutting and packaging slices for customers.
- Take and process customer orders accurately, ensuring attention to detail.
- Maintain shop cleanliness and presentation at all times (housekeeping duties are essential).
- Support other departments when needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
- Stay until closing time, ensuring all customers are served before leaving.
Requirements
- Strong command of the English language (spoken and written).
- Ability to think on your feet and adapt quickly to different situations.
- Excellent multitasking skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn on the job – this is a fast‑paced, "learn as you go" environment.
- Interest in cakes and baking (knowledge of cakes is an advantage).
- Basic baking skills are desirable.
- Availability to work Saturdays (compulsory).
- Positive, reliable, and able to put the needs of the business first.
