Job description
Job Advert

At Falkirk Council, we want Falkirk to be the place people love to live, work and visit — and we need brilliant people to help make that happen.

We’re looking for friendly, adaptable, and positive team players to join our Customer First Contact Centre. Every year, our team handles more than half a million calls and online enquiries, helping residents and colleagues across a wide range of Council services.

You’ll be the first point of contact for the community — solving problems, offering advice, and making sure every customer feels valued. No two days are ever the same, but every day you’ll make a difference.

What you’ll bring
  • Experience in a customer-facing role (ideally front line)
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Confidence using computer systems and processing information accurately
  • A calm, professional approach — especially when things get busy

It’s a bonus if you understand how local councils work or if you can speak Gaelic, but it’s not essential.

Why join us
  • Hybrid working — most of your time will be spent working from home
  • A supportive team who’ll help you learn and grow
  • Opportunities to develop new skills and progress

If you enjoy helping people and want to be part of something that genuinely supports the community, we’d love to hear from you.
