A leading UK grocery retailer is looking for a friendly and reliable Driver. In this role, you will deliver high-quality products to customers' doors and assist in the store with stock control and cashiering. Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence, be over 18, and have a strong commitment to outstanding customer service. The company offers unique benefits including staff discounts and flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.
Due to the delivery/handling/selling of age restricted items, applicants must be 18 years or over to apply.
You’ll be the friendly face of our business – the helpful driver who delivers the unique blend of Waitrose quality and outstanding service right to our customers' doors. When you’re not out and about you’ll be at the store, assisting with stock control and cashiering, which may involve lifting heavy products.
This is a really important front line role. You represent us with every single customer you meet and their impression of Waitrose & Partners is down to you. So, as well as having a flexible approach and the ability to use your initiative to deal with unexpected situations, you should be passionate about providing the very highest levels of customer service.
A good appreciation of health & safety is a must too, along with excellent driving skills – and we will ask you to take a driving assessment as part of your application.
We’re the largest employee‑owned business in the UK and home to our cherished brands, John Lewis and Waitrose. We’re not just employees, we’re Partners, driven by our purpose to build a happier world.
As Partners we all share responsibility and in its rewards. We use our voices to contribute to our success, working together through the good and challenging times, holding true to our behaviours and treating everyone with kindness and respect.
As a Partner you will enjoy our unique benefits package, including staff discount, subsidised food in Partner dining rooms, discounts in local restaurants, subsidised learning, access to exclusive Partnership hotels and so much more. We want all of our Partners to have a good work‑life balance and we support flexible working. This might mean flexible or compressed hours, job sharing or shorter hour contracts, where possible. Please discuss this further with the hiring manager during your interview.
