Job summary

Tesco is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver in the Newport area to bring groceries to customers’ homes. You’ll represent Tesco with a friendly, helpful service across your shifts, ensuring orders are accurate and delivered with care.

Responsibilities include loading the van safely, meeting delivery windows, handling substitutions or refunds when needed, and maintaining a clean vehicle and work area. A UK/EU/EEA driving licence with up to 3 penalty points is required.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Customer-facing role experience and a can-do attitude are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver within the customer’s time slot and provide warm, natural service at the doorstep.
• Load the van safely and complete checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Talk customers through order changes, substitutions, or short-dated items and offer refunds where needed.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality and customer trust.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues to deliver great service and team spirit.
• Be warm and welcoming with customers and colleagues; respond to changing needs on the road and in-store.
