Job summary

Tesco PLC is seeking Customer Delivery Drivers to bring orders to customers’ homes. This role combines driving with frontline service, offering a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week and shifts scheduled within availability windows.

Pay starts at £14.18 per hour, rising to £15.45 in locations within the M25, with potential additional payments in some areas. You'll load and deliver goods, handle substitutions or changes, and ensure orders arrive in perfect condition.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months, with no more than 3 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Keep van, trays, and work area clean, tidy, and organised so every customer receives their shopping in perfect condition.
• Load the van safely and complete all checks to ensure it's roadworthy, reliable, and ready to deliver great service.
• Talk customers through any order changes, substitutions, or short dated items in a friendly, reassuring way, and offer refunds where needed to keep the experience smooth and positive.
• Handle products with care, treating every order as if it were your own to maintain quality and customer trust.
• Deliver within the customer's time slot, providing warm, natural service at the doorstep and leaving customers feeling valued and well looked after.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues to create great team spirit and deliver the best service for customers.
• Be warm and welcoming with customers and colleagues.
• Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change while out on the road and in the store.
