Job summary

Tesco is seeking Customer Delivery Drivers to deliver groceries to customers’ homes across the UK. This role blends driving with great service, a smile, and flexible shifts.

You will load the van, deliver within scheduled time slots, handle substitutions or refunds, and keep vehicles and orders tidy. A valid UK driving licence (12 months) with up to 3 points is required, with a minimum guaranteed hours per week.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months, with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
• Customer-focused with a friendly approach.
• Willing to work evenings & weekends.

Responsibilities

• Keeping your van, trays, and work area clean, tidy, and organized so every customer receives their shopping in perfect condition.
• Loading the van safely and completing all checks to ensure it’s roadworthy and ready to deliver great service.
• Talking customers through any order changes, substitutions, or short‑dated items and offering refunds where needed.
• Delivering within the customer’s time slot and providing warm, natural service at the doorstep.

Customer Delivery Driver pay starts at £14.18 per hour, rising to £15.45 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.

You will need

Build strong relationships with colleagues to create great team spirit and deliver the best service for customers.Â

Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change while out on the road and in the store.Â

Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months, with no more than 3 penalty points.
