Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer Assistant for night shifts to help our stores run smoothly by stocking shelves, assisting customers and keeping areas tidy. You will work across store sections, using digital tools, and support colleagues to maintain a safe, welcoming shopping experience.

We value energy, resilience and a hands-on approach, with training provided for different areas and checkout support when trained. This role is based in our Stevenage stores and includes night premium benefits.

Responsibilities

• Getting the store ready for the day ahead by filling shelves, working at a good steady pace throughout the night and being prepared to work with a variety of product types
• Keeping your workspace tidy for other colleagues and making sure our aisles are clean, presentable and ready for our customers the next day
• Collecting and moving stock safely from the warehouse to the shopfloor, including heavy equipment and containers
• Working across different parts of the store, which could include chilled and frozen areas
• Using equipment, handsets and digital systems to complete your work accurately and safely
• Helping in other areas when needed, which could include picking online orders or serving customers at checkouts once you're trained and confident
