Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd in Harrogate is seeking a Customer Assistant for night shifts. You’ll help prepare the store, stock shelves and move stock from the warehouse to the shopfloor, with duties across various store areas. Strong teamwork and reliability are essential for this physically demanding role.

Role offers permanent full-time hours (36 per week) with a competitive hourly rate of £13.23 and a range of store benefits. Right to work in the UK and 18+ age requirement apply.

Responsibilities

• Prepare store for the day by stocking shelves during the night shift.
• Keep workspace tidy and aisles presentable for customers.
• Move stock safely from warehouse to shopfloor, including heavy items.
• Work across store areas, including chilled and frozen sections.
• Use handsets and digital systems to complete tasks accurately and safely.
• Assist with online orders or serve customers at checkouts when trained.

What you’ll be doing

• Getting the store ready for the day ahead by filling shelves, working at a good steady pace throughout the night and being prepared to work with a variety of product types
• Keeping your workspace tidy for other colleagues and making sure our aisles are clean, presentable and ready for our customers the next day
• Collecting and moving stock safely from the warehouse to the shopfloor, including heavy equipment and containers
• Working across different parts of the store, which could include chilled and frozen areas
• Using equipment, handsets and digital systems to complete your work accurately and safely

Helping in other areas when needed, which could include picking online orders or serving customers at checkouts once you’re trained and confident
