Job summary

Buzz Group in South Shields is seeking a Customer Assistant for a 16-hour contract, flexible across 7 days, including evenings and weekends. You will deliver high-quality service, handle cash, and contribute to maintaining a safe gambling environment across all channels.

The role requires adaptability across front of house, bar, kitchen, and other areas, with a focus on guest experience and presentation. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering first-class, personalised customer service in face-to-face roles.
• Experience handling cash and basic numeracy skills.
• Confident in challenging processes and ensuring company policies are followed.
• Willingness to cover multiple areas including front of house, bar, kitchen and housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with Customers and maintain high presentation standards across the Club.
• Work across all areas: front of house, book sales, treasury, machines, bar and kitchen; general housekeeping.
• Support line manager with other duties as requested.
• Ensure a safer gambling environment across online, in-club and live channels.

Build rapport and relationships with Customers

Be flexible on tasks across all areas of the Club from front of house, book sales, treasury, machines, the bar area and kitchen including, general housekeeping throughout the Club, checking the toilets and ensuring presentation is always to a high standard

Support with other duties as requested by the line manager

Ensuring you create a Safer Gambling Environment for all our Customers and Colleagues across all of our channels; online, in club and live

Experience in delivering first class, personalised customer service in a face-to-face role, preferably in a hospitality, retail or leisure environment

Outstanding communication skills that can be adapted to different situations when necessary

Experience of handling cash and basic numeracy knowledge

You are confident at challenging the way things are done and can make sure all Customers follow our company policies and standards

Join us as a Customer Assistant in our South Shields Club offering a 16 hour contract which is fully flexible over 7 days, including evenings and weekends.
