Job summary

Sainsbury’s is recruiting a Customer Assistant to join our store in the United Kingdom. You’ll put customers first, help with shelves, orders, and provide friendly, practical service that makes shoppers feel valued.

You'll use digital tools to assist customers, learn our products and promotions, keep stock tidy, and work as part of a high-energy team in a busy retail environment. Flexibility and a can-do attitude are essential to succeed.

What you’ll be doing

• Putting customers first and making them feel valued through thoughtful, friendly and helpful service
• Ready to help wherever our customers need you most, whether that’s filling shelves, picking orders, serving customers or selling our products
• Using and embracing digital tools to do your job well and enhance customer experience
• Helping organise and move stock, including keeping shelves tidy, clean and well-presented, and manoeuvring often heavy loads to the correct store location
• Building your knowledge of our products, services and promotions so you can confidently make helpful recommendations to our customers
