Job summary

Sainsbury's is hiring a Customer Assistant to put customers first and deliver friendly, helpful service across the store. You’ll support customers, stock shelves, and assist with orders while staying upbeat in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll learn our products and promotions, use digital tools to help shoppers, and work with colleagues to keep shelves tidy and inviting. A flexible, team-oriented attitude and pride in your work are essential to help us inspire great customer experiences daily.

What you’ll be doing

• Putting customers first and making them feel valued through thoughtful, friendly and helpful service
• Ready to help wherever our customers need you most, whether that’s filling shelves, picking orders, serving customers or selling our products
• Using and embracing digital tools to do your job well and enhance customer experience
• Helping organise and move stock, including keeping shelves tidy, clean and well-presented, and manoeuvring often heavy loads to the correct store location
• Building your knowledge of our products, services and promotions so you can confidently make helpful recommendations to our customers
