Job description

As a Customer Team Member, you'll be part of a friendly team that's dedicated to helping our customers. We'll look to you to provide them with great service on the tills and the shop floor, while also performing a wide range of other tasks around the store like re‑scouting shelves and cleaning up spillages.

What you’ll do
  • Friendly and thoughtful service – put customers first in everything you do: respond to queries, champion Co‑op products and Membership, and deliver a great shopping experience.
  • Work together to make everyone’s day better – support your store colleagues to solve problems for customers and members.
  • Make sure the store is safe and legal – keep the shelves stocked and make sure prices, dates, and temperatures are all as they should be.
  • Help introduce new products and services – make changes feel natural, sharing experiences with your colleagues so everyone learns together.
  • Support your local community – get involved in all kinds of activities and events!

Pay: £12.60 per hour
Contract: 12 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent, part time
Working pattern: varied shifts including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing) and weekends, to be discussed at interview
