Job summary

B&Q Darlington is hiring a Customer Advisor for checkouts on a permanent part-time basis, 18 hours per week. You’ll be the friendly face at the tills, helping customers, handling click & collect, and keeping displays tidy to make the store look great.

You’ll work a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays, receive training across areas, and be part of a team that values service, teamwork and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Able to work as part of a team and on a rota including weekends and holidays.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like click & collect, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in various areas, but on the tills truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What we need:

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
