Role Profile

The Customer Account Manager will help grow the organisation’s directly operated accounts. You will oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, generate new business from existing clients, and actively pursue new sales opportunities. You will also manage customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximise profit.

  • Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 (dependent on experience).
  • Working Hours: Hours 9 am – 5 pm (60/40 remote working).

  • Manage and retain existing customers.
  • Develop and use comprehensive knowledge of products and services to upsell and cross‑sell to clients.
  • Use BI reporting tool to identify and address down‑traders and marginal gains.
Qualifications And Skills

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Outgoing, positive, and excellent communication skills, especially on the phone.
  • Experience in account management, business building, logistics and supply chain.
  • Strong and accurate administration skills.
  • Commercial mindset.
  • Flexible and supportive team player.
  • Ability to handle a healthy workload and keep focus and organisation.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow company process and procedure.
  • History of customer service success and drive to improve customer experience.
  • Familiarity with IT products and solution selling.
  • At least 3 years of customer account management experience, with proven success of delivering strong results and maximising opportunities.
