Job description

Ultra Precision Control Systems (PCS) are looking for a Customer Service Administrator to provide support to the Customer Services Department.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and interpret the customers' requirements, including quality, delivery, packaging etc., and ensure that these requirements are reflected throughout the manufacturing cycle.
  • Process customer orders onto the MRP system after liaison with Production to ensure an achievable delivery date is given.
  • Issue order acknowledgements to the customer which accurately reflect the Company's conditions of acceptance.
  • Handle customer order enquiries in a responsive and professional manner.
  • Pro‑actively inform the customer of any changes during the scheduled production process that may impact upon the agreed delivery criteria, including the delivery date.
  • Assist in the expediting of information to ensure that the customers' requirements are met.
  • Produce the required release and dispatch paperwork, ensuring that these reflect the customers' requirements as stated on the original order.
  • Compile and issue regular order status reports, as agreed with customers.
  • Regularly reconcile the MRP order book with the customers' own view of demand.
  • Support periodic reviews with customers as required.
  • Issue quotations to customers taking due consideration of internal policies, procedures and authorisation limits.
  • Carry out any other duties as may be reasonably requested by the Customer Service Manager.

  • Candidates must be able to work in the UK without restrictions in accordance with UK National Law and be prepared to successfully undertake an appropriate level of UK National Security Vetting according to UK Government National Security Vetting criteria.
