Job description

Paramedic (2 years post qualification)

Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in a patient-facing role within a relevant field: General Practice, A & E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk-in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service.

The custody suites can be an energetic place to work, with no two shifts the same. We provide individuals with all their physical, mental healthcare and wellbeing needs, as well as gather any forensic samples needed by the police to aid their investigations.

Making careful records on our computerised systems, you will be assessing whether people are fit to be detained or released, administering medications when needed, and working with local Liaison and Diversion teams to address root‑cause issues that can prevent future crime.

No previous forensic experience required – we will provide all your training.

Rates

• Weekdays – £27.60 per hour
• Night rate – £32.71 per hour
• Weekends – £32.71 per hour
• Bank Holiday – £35.78 per hour

We cover a 24-hour rota, and the shifts will be 12.15-hour long, from 6.45 am to 7:00 pm or 6.45 pm to 7:00 am.
