Qualifications

Located on the edge of the Lake District National Park, Furness College is a vibrant, innovative and fast-paced FE College, benefiting from strong partnerships with local employers and universities. We offer an extensive range of courses with a particular emphasis on technical learning, apprenticeships and Higher Education, in addition to the broadest A’ level offer in Cumbria.

Curriculum Technician (Hair & Beauty)

We are looking for a Technician to join our Hair & Beauty team to provide support within the curriculum, assisting in practical classes and preparing resources and equipment necessary for the day to day activities of the department. This includes but is not limited to; care for, store and dismantle teaching materials and equipment following set procedures for security and safety, ordering an replenishing of stock, supervising of bookings, client management, general salon management and having a good working knowledge of health and safety in relation to the role, specifically around COSHH and PATesting.

Salary: Pro rata of £7,560 up to £7,797 per annum

Hours: 14 hours per week. This position is term time only (working 36 weeks of the academic year)
