Qualifications

  • Proven experience of teaching English, Maths or Digital Skills in an FE or similar setting to Level 2 or above.
  • Experience of curriculum planning, development and quality assurance.
  • Experience of leading teams and managing staff performance.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design and delivery in English, Maths and Digital Skills.

Curriculum Manager - English, Maths and Digital Skills

Hours: 37 hours per week

Overview

As an award‑winning college, we are looking for exceptional people to join our team. This exciting opportunity welcomes an experienced, motivated, and innovative individual to lead a dynamic team within our English, Maths and Digital Skills departments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership and support for staff, champion high‑quality teaching and learning, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with Heads of Departments to deliver an ambitious curriculum that drives excellence in teaching, learning and student achievement.
  • Lead curriculum development and innovation to ensure provision remains forward‑thinking, inclusive and aligned with industry and community needs.
Qualifications – Required
  • Proven experience of teaching English, Maths or Digital Skills in an FE or similar setting to Level 2 or above.
  • Experience of curriculum planning, development and quality assurance.
  • Experience of leading teams and managing staff performance.
  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in English, Maths or a related subject.
  • A full teaching qualification at Level 4 or above (Cert Ed, PGCE or equivalent).
  • A strong understanding of curriculum design and delivery in English, Maths and Digital Skills.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and data analysis skills.
Desirable
  • Experience managing cross‑college projects or initiatives.
  • Knowledge of digital learning platforms and blended delivery.
  • IQA/Assessor qualifications (or willingness to work towards).
