Salary: £36,864 - £47,133 pro rata (subject to agreement). Benefits: Up to £13,517 Employer Pension contributions, Up to £5,000 golden hello payment, 52 Days Annual Leave (incl. Bank Holidays & Christmas Closure). Location: Newcastle Campus. Hours: Full‑time 37 Hours per week.

The group is currently home to a population of over 6,500 full‑time students with around 2,000 adult learners and students on higher education programmes. Main Duties And Responsibilities
  • To deliver lively and interactive teaching, learning and assessment to an outstanding standard on a range of programmes as appropriate.
  • To secure outstanding success for all learners and ensure targets for recruitment, retention, achievement and success, attendance and progression are met.
  • To support the design and development of engineering programmes across the provision range in engineering.
  • To teach on a range of full‑time, part‑time and apprenticeship programmes within the engineering department.
  • Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of examination papers, developing and preparing flexible learning materials.
Required Skills And Experience
  • Relevant degree in Engineering and equivalent higher technical expertise in this field (Mechanical & Electrical Engineering).
  • Has or is willing to study for a relevant teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent).
  • Has industry experience, with current knowledge and the ability to deliver to industry standard.
  • Is well organised and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
