We are seeking an exceptional Curriculum Leader for PSHE to lead and champion high-quality Personal, Social, Health and Economic education across Noel-Baker Academy. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a core subject while influencing teaching and learning across the academy. You will provide both the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of our PSHE curriculum, ensuring it is ambitious, inclusive, age-appropriate and fully compliant with statutory requirements, including RSHE. You will shape a curriculum that is clearly articulated, coherently sequenced and consistently translated into excellent classroom practice. A central aspect of the role is ensuring that PSHE makes a meaningful contribution to pupils' personal development, wellbeing and safeguarding. You will work closely with senior leaders, pastoral teams, safeguarding leads and external partners to ensure that our provision responds to pupils' needs and reflects the local context. This includes areas such as mental health, online safety, healthy relationships, consent, equality and diversity, and preparation for adulthood. You will lead curriculum planning, resource development and assessment within PSHE, supporting staff to deliver sensitive and complex content with confidence, professionalism and care. You will provide guidance and training where needed, recognising that PSHE is delivered by a wide range of colleagues and requires consistent expectations and high-quality support. You will play an active role in whole-school quality assurance and improvement planning, using pupil voice, curriculum review, staff feedback and impact evaluation to inform development. You will ensure that outcomes in PSHE are defined not simply by compliance but by pupils' knowledge, understanding, attitudes and behaviours.
