• GCSE in English and Maths A C / 9-4 or equivalent required.
• PGCE or other recognized teaching qualification needed.
• Experience teaching English and Maths curriculum is essential.
• Management experience in FE is desirable but not essential.

Curriculum Development Manager – English and Maths

Ref : 129810

Salary : £41,858 to £44,405 per annum

Hours : 37 hours per week

Location : Castleford College

We are looking for a Curriculum Development Manager to join our passionate English and Maths team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference by providing effective leadership alongside teaching and learning to help learners and teachers succeed.

We are looking for enthusiastic professionals who can promote a culture of excellent behaviour, motivation and high learner performance through excellent standards of teaching and learning. In addition, you should be an excellent team player and have a passion for supporting students to succeed.

You will :

• Assist in overseeing the management and development of curriculum
• Line manage and lead the English and Maths team
• Support the implementation of local and college strategies to improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment
• Be a key driver in monitoring the curriculum area’s performance and implementing the Quality Improvement Plan
• Support teachers and staff to comply with the Group’s quality processes

You will have :

• GCSE in English and Maths A C / 9-4 or equivalent
• PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification
• Successful experience of teaching within the English and Maths Curriculum
• Management experience in FE is desirable but not essential
