Job summary

The Redhill Academy invites applications for a Curriculum Area Leader of Art. We seek an experienced Art specialist with proven classroom practice and leadership potential to build on strengths, develop the curriculum and secure outstanding outcomes for students.

You will work across the 11–18 age range, promote artistic excellence, nurture creativity and collaborate with colleagues to raise standards. This is a permanent, full-time post with a TLR2B of £6,074.

Qualifications

• Must be an outstanding classroom practitioner with QTS.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate colleagues.
• Experience delivering high-quality Art teaching across 11–18.

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Art specialist with a proven track record of excellent classroom practice and strong leadership potential. The successful candidate will have the vision and ambition to build upon the department's established strengths, further develop the curriculum and continue to secure outstanding outcomes for students. They will be passionate about promoting artistic excellence, nurturing creativity and ensuring that every student is able to fulfil their potential.

About you…

You will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with Qualified Teacher Status and a strong subject knowledge of Art. You will have a proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching across the 11-18 age range, foster positive relationships with students, and create an engaging learning environment where every learner can succeed. You will be enthusiastic, organised, and committed to continuous professional development, with the leadership skills to motivate colleagues, raise standards, and drive improvement across the department.
