Job summary

Akumin is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high quality CT studies with a focus on patient safety and effective communication with radiologists and staff.

The role involves training new technologists and/or patient coordinators and troubleshooting scanners and related equipment. Candidates should have ARRT CT (or NMTCB) certification, state licensure, CPR, and a strong customer service mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• ARRT CT certification; NMTCB CT acceptable in lieu of ARRT where allowed.
• State license to practice Medical Imaging.
• CPR certification.
• Active State Driver’s License if moved between sites.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast.
• Produce high quality diagnostic CT images.
• Communicate with radiologists and customers as needed.
• Train new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, etc.).
