A major healthcare provider in South Kesteven is seeking a motivated CT Radiographer to support their CT service across multiple hospitals. The role includes managing CT services out of hours and requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CT procedures and be patient-driven. This position offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology and contribute to a significant healthcare initiative.
As CT Radiographer your base site will be either Pilgrim, Grantham or Lincoln Hospital but you will provide cross site cover including the Community Diagnostic Centres at Skegness, Lincoln and Grantham. You will support the CT service across ULH, support 7 day services and out of hours coverage. You will commence as a Band 5 CT Radiographer and be uplifted to Band 6 once CT competencies and inter-personal skills signed off.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated and patient driven with an in-depth understanding of CT from a clinical and technical perspective. You may also have previous experience of line management, implementing change and low level project management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite, you will be expected to manage your time carefully and able to prioritise conflicting demands, whilst working with a wide range of stakeholders to provide a single pan-trust service which meets the needs of our patients. You will be required to support the CT service out of hours on a rota basis.
Our facilities are well equipped. The trust has invested in DR technology, new interventional suites, State of the art Canon CTs' and Siemens MRI scanners and up to date ultrasound equipment.
Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services. Lincoln Hospital is a thriving university city and with the opening of the medical school, it provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status, after demonstrating evidence to significant teaching commitment. From now on it will be known as United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county. This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations. The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).
