Job description

Due to the expansion of our service operating7 days between the hours of 08:00 to 20:00, we are looking for Band 7 HCPC registered CT Radiographers to join our growing CT team with in the general imaging department at St Bartholomew's Hospital.

Key working relationships will be with the Imaging Head of Radiography, CT Lead Radiographer, Radiologists, CT & rotational radiographers, imaging assistants and other clinical and professional staff.

The post-holder will participate in the effective and safe running of the CT department and will be able to perform a wide range of specialist CT scans in the extended hours 7-day service. The post holder will offer supervision/line management to band 6 radiographers, imaging assistants, students, and visitors to the CT department. The post holder will ensure patient flow in the trust by actively managing the flow of outpatients and in-patients. Furthermore, they will be expected to engage in prompt protocolling, checking of conditional devices, liaison with radiologists and other clinicians to actively unblock barriers to scanning. The post holder will be key in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and experience and will be enabled to deal with and diffuse potential complaints to the patient and carers' satisfaction.
