Job summary

Northbuild Recruitment is seeking an experienced groundwork gang for a large rail depot redevelopment site in LS11, Leeds. The role involves drainage and pipe laying, and drainage duties on a 5m scale, with CSCS Groundwork cards required.

You will work 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with overtime on weekends at 1.33x. This ongoing project has a planned start in early 2027, offering long-term opportunities for reliable groundworkers.

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS Groundwork card and experience as a groundworker.
• Proficient in drainage and pipe laying tasks.
• Plant tickets (Dumper, Roller, 360) advantageous; confined space training beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carry out drainage and pipe-laying tasks on site.
• Assist with general groundwork and associated tasks on the depot redevelopment.
• Operate or assist with site plant equipment as required.

Job description

Experienced Groundwork Gang needed for a large rail depot redevelopment project in LS11 Leeds.

Must hold valid cscs skills cards in Groundwork, be well versed as an all round Groundworker and specifically be skilled in all aspects of drainage and pipe laying.

Any plant tickets such as Dumper, Roller or 360 an advantage. Confined spaced certification is also an advantage but training can be provided for this if needed.

Working on a redevelopment scheme of an existing depot main duties will involve working on 5m drainage, pipe laying and associated tasks.

50 Hours per week Monday to Friday (10 hrs paid per shift) with occasional weekend overtime payable at x1.33

Ongoing project with long term opportunity due to new phase of works due to commenct in early 2027.
