Overview

Our client is one of London's oldest contracting businesses, an industry-recognised brand with a track record of delivering iconic projects across the UK and London. They have a strong portfolio of major Data Centre schemes as both GC and MEP Subcontractor. Five core service areas are Engineering Services, Technologies, Infrastructure, Residential and Hotels, and Facilities Management. They are known for staff retention, with leadership team members progressing from apprentices and long-serving careers. Recently they were acquired by a private investor and currently turnover in excess of £750 million, with future growth plans.

Role

CSA Senior Quantity Surveyor – London – Salary £85,000 – £100,000 + Car Allowance + Healthcare + Pension. The position will be based on two flagship Data Centres across London, with an estimated total build of circa £400m.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the procurement process and ensure all Sub Contracts are placed correctly with the appropriate terms included.
  • Oversee and manage the production of the variation account and the agreement process with the Client; responsible for compiling monthly project cost reports and presenting them to Company Directors.
  • Build relationships with the project team and clients; be a good communicator, self-motivated, and comfortable with multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with production of cost plans and full Build Tenders for projects would be a benefit.
  • As a Senior Surveyor, manage other Surveyors of varying levels and provide support and training to develop their abilities and understanding.
Qualifications / Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience running major projects.
  • Professionally qualified surveyor with demonstrated surveying experience in a similar role.
  • Longevity in previous roles.
