Job summary

Techniche Global Ltd in the UK seeks a Senior Cryptography Engineer to apply crypt–key expertise and provide technical leadership across customer missions in the defence sector. The role focuses on developing and delivering cryptosecurity solutions while engaging with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Day-to-day you will lead and influence engineering delivery, analyze requirements, and guide cryptographic design and key-management strategies to meet mission needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in cryptography, key management or secure systems engineering.
• Ability to lead large, complex engineering programmes or technical consultancy projects.
• Ability to design complex cryptographic solutions to meet security requirements.
• Strong communications skills and stakeholder management.
• Deep understanding of cyber security, threats, vulnerabilities and assurance.

Responsibilities

• Technically lead multidisciplinary teams across large or complex bids and projects in response to customer requests in the cryptosecurity domain.
• Engage regularly with customers and stakeholders to support delivery, shape strategy, and identify opportunities for follow-on work.
• Translate customer requirements into user, system and security requirements for crypto systems.
• Understand cryptographic algorithms and how they fit into secure protocols.
• Advise on how to employ high-grade crypto and key management to achieve outcomes.
• Foster adversarial mindset development in others.

Job description

We are working with a global Software, Systems & Engineering company in the Defence Sector, supporting them with appointing a Senior Cryptography Engineer who will apply Crypt–Key expertise and technical leadership to customer mission challenges through research, consultancy, engineering delivery, strategic technical influence and the providing of guidance across multidisciplinary teams. Day–to–day, you ll work across technical disciplines to develop/analyse integrated and innovative security solutions delivering high–quality outputs that focus on customer problems and solutions in the cryptosecurity domain engaging regularly with customers and stakeholders.

Salary: GBP65–73k per annum + benefits

Location: Malvern– 4–5 times per week onsite

Working hours: 37 per week

Duration: perm, full time

Requirements: sole UK nationals with valid SC

Key responsibilities:

• Technically leading multidisciplinary teams across large or complex bids and projects in response to requests from customers and partners in the cryptosecurity domain
• Engaging regularly with customers and stakeholders to support smooth delivery, shape strategy, and identify opportunities for follow on work
• Taking customer requirements and interpreting the user, system and security requirements for a relatively complex crypto system in a mission context
• Understanding cryptographic algorithms, what functions they do and do not deliver and how they fit together to enable secure protocols
• Advising on how to employ High grade crypto and key management to achieve outcomes in accordance
• Applying adversarial mind–set and the ability to support his mindset development in others

Essential experience:

• Previous experience in Crypt–Key, cryptography, key management or secure systems/product engineering
• The ability to lead others on large or complex engineering programmes or technical consultancy projects, including supporting development of junior colleagues
• The ability to propose/design complex cryptographic solutions to meet security requirements
• Strong communications skills and stakeholder management
• Deep understanding of cyber security, its significance, concepts, threats, vulnerabilities and assurance

Essential qualifications:

• Degree level education or equivalent
