Job summary

Omega is seeking a Welding & Precision Assembly Technician to manufacture and assemble cryogenic products to tight tolerances at Whitney. The role is hands-on, requiring careful welding, soldering and mechanical assembly in stainless steel, copper and other materials, following engineering drawings and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in welding, soldering, brazing, precision assembly or mechanical fabrication.
• Strong hand skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Willingness to learn cryogenic manufacturing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble cryogenic transfer lines and related components.
• Perform TIG welding on thin-wall stainless-steel parts.
• Carry out soft soldering and silver brazing on copper and stainless steel.
• Assemble small components using jigs, gauges and fixtures.
• Inspect welds and assemblies for leaks and quality.
• Interpret drawings and BOMs; contribute to process improvements.
