Job summary

Tokamak Energy, a global leader in fusion energy, is seeking an experienced thermal engineer to join the Cryogenic Systems team. You will help shape the thermal performance of superconducting magnet systems and support the design of advanced cryogenic solutions.

You will develop models, analyze heat transfer, and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers to influence specifications, reviews and safety activities, while growing technical leadership in your area.

Qualifications

  • Industrial thermal modelling and analysis experience.
  • FEA and CFD expertise.
  • Heat transfer and thermal system design knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Develop thermal models using analytical methods, 1D modelling, FEA and CFD
  • Analyse heat transfer and thermal behaviour within cryogenic systems
  • Use modelling outputs to influence system specifications and design decisions
  • Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Support development of in-house modelling tools and methodologies
  • Contribute to technical reviews, risk assessments and safety activities
  • Provide technical leadership within your area of expertise
