Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a 6, 12 or 18 month post in Intensive Care Medicine in Reading, offering substantial clinical experience in a busy District General Hospital and a dedicated period of clinical research time.

This post is suitable for those pursuing ICM or related acute specialties, and may suit FICM trainees seeking Stage 2 training. Current UK registration is required, and the unit has an outstanding patient care rating.

Qualifications

• GMC registration is required.
• Provider status in ALS/ATLS/APLS is required or desirable depending on post.
• UK registration to practice in NHS is essential.

Responsabilités

• Participate in provision of ICM within the department at a level appropriate to experience.
• Undertake the NIHR Associate Principal Investigator programme.
• Support recruitment to and data collection for ongoing studies within the ICU.
• Attend Urgent Care research committee meetings.
• Be involved in the management and co-ordination of studies within the ICU.
