Job summary

A reputable health service provider in Nottingham is seeking a Crisis Support Worker to assist children and young people accessing support services. This role involves crisis intervention and advocacy, ensuring sensitive support for sexual violence survivors under 17. The position requires professional experience in safeguarding and flexible availability for shifts, with an FTE salary of £26,560 pro-rata, plus on-call compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting policy and procedures for safeguarding children.
• Evidence of working with children and young people in a supportive role.
• Clear understanding of safeguarding issues.
• Ability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Work with clinicians and police as part of the first response team.
• Perform forensic cleaning after medical examinations.
• Handle helpline inquiries and provide initial support.
• Follow safeguarding policies and procedures.

Skills

Professional experience working with children and young people

Knowledge of issues related to sexual violence and safeguarding

Experience in a multi-agency setting

CYP safeguarding training in last 2 years

Flexibility in working shifts

Understanding of safeguarding policies

Ability to respond on-call within 60 minutes
