  • Position: Learning Support Assistant
  • Salary: 85 to 95 per day
  • Start Date: ASAP

A unique specialist school in Devizes are looking for a Psychology or Criminology Graduate to join their team and support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will work with disadvantaged children that have been exposed to adverse childhood experiences. You will help identify their risk and needs, and act as a positive model role.

Many of the children face various barriers in life and are more 'at risk' of negative outcomes. You will be instrumental in building relationships, providing consistency and equipping students with the tools to ensure they feel safe, supported and believe they can succeed at life. Through building strong & robust relationships, you will have the opportunity to have a positive impact and make a real difference to the lives of children.

Based on holistic and therapeutic practice, with a focus on restorative practice, this role will give you essential restorative experience within anti-social and challenging settings - career progression routes include Probation Officer, Youth Offending Teams and Youth Counsellor.
