Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking motivated Criminology Graduates to support students in a successful secondary school in Ashington, Northumberland. This role offers frontline experience in behaviour support, safeguarding and inclusivity.

You’ll work with teachers and SEND professionals, helping students on a 1:1 and small-group basis, with opportunities for CPD and potential permanent positions.

Pay ranges £92.63–£108.00 per day (PAYE) with weekly pay and supportive training.

Qualifications

• Degree in Criminology or a related subject.
• Genuine passion for supporting young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience with young people desirable but not essential.
• Volunteer, mentoring or similar experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support students one-to-one and in small groups.
• Help students regulate emotions and make positive choices.
• Assist with behaviour management using positive approaches.
• Build trusting relationships to encourage confidence and engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral teams and SEND professionals.
