Job summary

Recruit Select Limited is seeking an experienced Criminal Solicitor to defend clients across multiple offices nationwide, including Buckinghamshire, Midlands, Hertfordshire and beyond. The role covers both private clients and funded cases, from minor offenses to serious allegations.

You will represent clients in hearings, trials and negotiations, review evidence, advise on rights and options, negotiate pleas, and prepare documents.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in criminal litigation and client representation.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex legal concepts clearly and confidently.
• Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple cases efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in criminal proceedings, including hearings, trials, and negotiations
• Conduct thorough case assessments by reviewing evidence, police reports, and witness statements
• Advise clients on their legal rights, options, and potential outcomes with clarity and transparency
• Negotiate plea agreements and sentencing terms with prosecutors to secure favorable results for clients
• Prepare legal documents such as affidavits, motions, and appeals with meticulous attention to detail
• Collaborate with experts, investigators, and support staff to build strong defense strategies
• Maintain comprehensive case files and ensure compliance with all legal procedures and deadlines
