Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ PQE in criminal law.
• Duty Solicitor qualified for both court and police station.
• LAA Crime Category Supervisor status required.
• Excellent knowledge of criminal law and procedure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills needed.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability required.
• Proficient IT skills and familiarity with case management systems.
• Commitment to high standards of professional service and client care.
• Higher Rights of Audience (HCA) status desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise criminal cases in line with the 2025 Standard Crime Contract.
• Attend court hearings and represent clients at both the police station and in court.
• Conduct advocacy and handle case preparation and management.
• Participate in administration, billing, and compliance tasks using Proclaim case management system.
• Work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends, to cover police station attendance.

A well-established and growing Merseyside law firm is seeking an experienced Criminal Defence Solicitor with LAA Crime Category Supervisor status to join their expanding team. The Role
