The role involves supporting solicitors with case preparation, taking instructions from clients, drafting correspondence and legal documents, and liaising with courts and experts. A demonstrable interest in criminal law and a strong academic background are preferred.

Qualifications

• A demonstrable interest in criminal law, a strong academic background and, preferably, previous experience within a criminal law firm.

Responsibilities

• Supporting solicitors with case preparation
• Taking instructions from clients
• Drafting correspondence and legal documents
• Liaising with courts, experts and other third parties
• Assisting with complex and novel legal issues
• Attending police stations where accredited
• General casework and administrative duties
