The Francis Crick Institute in London is seeking outstanding candidates for the Crick-PACE postdoctoral fellowship, a four-year, full-time programme run in collaboration with King’s College London, University College London and Imperial College London.
Fellows will have supervision at Crick and a Partner University, spend equal time between labs, and be supported to develop independent research ideas with a strong emphasis on reproducible open science.
Location: The Francis Crick Institute, London
The Francis Crick Institute is Europe's largest biomedical research institute under one roof. Our world-class scientists and staff collaborate on vital research to help prevent, diagnose and treat illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, infectious diseases and neurodegenerative conditions.
The Crick is a place for collaboration, innovation and exploration across many disciplines. A space where the brightest minds can pursue big and bold ideas and discover answers to crucial scientific questions. We support them in a dynamic environment which fosters excellence with state-of-the-art infrastructure, cutting-edge facilities, and a creative and curious culture. We've removed traditional boundaries of departments, divisions and disciplines and instead have an open approach that supports every researcher. This gives us the freedom to take risks and carry out high-quality, pioneering research. Creating a space for discovery without boundaries helps us to turn our science into benefits for human health and the economy.
The Crick-PACE postdoctoral fellowship is a 4-year competitive fellowship programme offered by The Francis Crick Institute, in collaboration with our Partner Universities (King's College London (King's), University College London (UCL), and Imperial College London (Imperial)).
Crick-PACE fellowships will be awarded to outstanding candidates, following internal and external review, who demonstrate a clear, well-justified motivation for joining the programme and collaborating with the proposed groups.
In this round, five 4-year full-time fellowships will be awarded to outstanding candidates who develop innovative, collaborative projects between a Crick-based research group and a Partner University-based research group.
Each fellow will have a supervisor based in the Crick and a supervisor in a Partner University lab, providing interdisciplinary guidance and specialised technical training. Throughout the tenure of the fellowship, postdocs are expected to spend equal time between the Crick research group and Partner University research group of choice.
