Overview

As a Crematorium assistant you'll be working as a dedicated member of our team to create an environment for families to say a final goodbye. The role will entail all aspects of the crematorium journey from learning and understanding the cremation process to transferring the deceased person into our care. You'll need to hold a full driving licence and be flexible working across varying shifts. Physical ability to lift is essential in this wide-ranging role. You\'ll work closely with your colleagues as a family unit, who flex and support each other in a variety of duties, including the transfer of the deceased within our Society vehicles as well as managing and maintaining the grounds and crematorium cleanliness. Bringing a positive can-do attitude is essential to support the day-to-day operation. It is key every task is completed to the highest standard to ensure our clients expectations are always met. There are many aspects to this varied role which will all be supported by in house training. Other key areas of responsibilities include, supporting the team with client inquiries, liaising with 3rd party businesses, such as doctors and suppliers, and complying with all health and safety regulations.

A confident communicator with a passion for detail will make sure you are successful in your role. This role will require you to drive one of our company vehicles, so a full driving licence is essential. Experience in a customer facing environment would be beneficial but not essential. As a representative of our funeral services within the local community, you\'ll be comfortable in building up good working relationships with Funeral Directors, local clergy, celebrants and other working partners.
