Overview

TransUnion is a major credit reference agency offering specialist services in fraud & identity, credit risk management, affordability, decisioning and marketing. We support organisations across sectors including finance, retail, telecommunications, utilities, gaming, government and insurance. We’re looking for a Credit Specialist to join our go-to-market team to provide industry expertise within our client engagement process in relation to credit risk and affordability solutions. The core part of the role involves demonstrating and helping clients realise the value of these solutions in relation to their critical business issues.

Responsibilities
  • Product/Service Expertise: Develop a deep and comprehensive understanding of the features, benefits, and applications of TransUnion’s credit risk and affordability solutions in the financial services markets.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to understand their needs, identify pain points, and determine how TransUnion credit risk, affordability solutions and insights can address their requirements; provide personalised recommendations and highlight the unique advantages of our offerings.
  • Sales Presentations and Demonstrations: Deliver compelling, tailored sales presentations and demonstrations; showcase functionality, performance, and benefits and adapt engagement techniques as needed.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with sales teams to provide product knowledge, technical assistance, and guidance during complex sales cycles; address customer inquiries and objections with sales managers and representatives.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback related to TransUnion and competitor credit solutions; gather insights to identify opportunities and inform product development and sales strategies; stay updated on industry trends to communicate value propositions effectively.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in technical sales and/or market development roles.
  • Experience in credit risk strategy and scoring with a solid understanding of the financial services landscape and regulatory challenges.
  • Analytical skills to analyse sales data, market trends and customer insights to identify opportunities and adjust strategies.
  • Strong communication skills—clear verbal and written communication essential for building client relationships, delivering persuasive presentations, and conveying information.
  • Demonstrated ability to present confidently to clients.
  • Expertise in MS Office.
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively with partners and cross-functional teams to develop business opportunities.
  • Strategic thinking to develop sales strategies targeting specific markets, industries or customer segments.
  • Ability to analyse business opportunities effectively.
  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
