This is a hands-on role where you’ll design and optimise credit policies, analyse portfolio performance, and make real-time strategy changes that directly impact growth, customer outcomes, and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse portfolio performance and monitor loss rates, delinquency trends, and profitability, spotting early trends to ensure risk and reward stay aligned.
  • Work closely with Decision Science to ensure predictive models and scorecards are used effectively in strategy design.
  • Build and tweak credit rules directly in the decision engine, and where required, partner with data engineers and tech engineers to deploy and test changes.

  • Proven experience in credit risk strategy or decisioning, ideally in unsecured lending or credit cards.
  • Strong coding skills in SQL (Python desirable) with comfort handling large datasets.
  • Understanding of loss rates, delinquency curves, and portfolio economics.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable changes in credit policy.
  • Commercial awareness to balance growth, risk, and customer outcomes.
  • Experience working with predictive models and scorecards, and partnering with data science or decision science teams.
  • Strong communication skills, able to influence stakeholders and explain complex analysis clearly.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
