Job summary

Propel is a fintech company rebuilding access to credit through an AI-driven platform. Based in the UK, Propel leverages data to evaluate borrowers and monitor portfolio performance while driving responsible lending.

We are seeking a senior analyst to lead portfolio analytics, design performance metrics, partner with Risk, Commercial, and IT teams, and coach analysts to deliver measurable improvements in loss rates and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

Degree in Maths, Data Science, Statistics, Economics or similar.
5+ years’ experience in credit risk/financial services strategy with strong risk analytics.
Strong understanding of FCA regulatory landscape and regulatory frameworks.
Proficiency in Python, R, SQL or other programming languages.
Experience with credit bureau data and large multi-source data.

Responsibilities

Portfolio Performance: design robust portfolio metrics for delinquency and default.
Risk Appetite: monitor performance against risk thresholds and governance.
Analytics Reporting: develop portfolio reports for governance committees.
Early Risk Identification: lead deep-dive analyses on credit deterioration.
End-to-end Tactical change: deploy risk-mitigating actions with IT and CX teams.
People Management: coach and develop a team of analysts.
