This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Risk & Compliance Division as a Credit Risk Analyst. If you have excellent analytical skills with a logical attitude to tasks, a degree in mathematics, statistics or a related subject and are keen to be part of our team, then we would like to hear from you.

Purpose of the role

Work alongside the Decisioning and Analytics Manager in designing and developing solutions to apply operational and credit criteria into the decisioning system. Contribute to the work of Credit Risk Management by supporting in the development, analysis, validation, implementation and monitoring of Credit Risk strategies, policies, models and processes.

What you’ll be doing
  • Designing, developing and testing of the decision engine used in Credit Risk.
  • Liaising and applying operational and credit changes in line with business requirements to better facilitate new business.
  • Supporting in the development of strategies, policies, models and processes that will be used throughout the account lifecycle, from application stage through to collections.
  • Specifying, implementing and maintaining databases in support of Credit Risk analysis, ensuring data management activities are optimised
  • Performing detailed and well documented analysis to support senior management and the decision making across the Bank
  • Identifying and investigating data integrity issues for data elements used within the production of monitoring and analysis
  • Validating analytical results, ensuring accuracy and sensitivity of findings
  • Produce clear, timely, accurate and informative analysis identifying trends and variations
  • Timely production of the full suite of monitoring reports required as part of the model governance framework
About You
What you’ll bring to the team
  • Basic knowledge in programming and the ability to apply logical solutions to complicated scenarios; training in programming language will be provided
  • Good comprehension of general statistical analysis and monitoring (Logistic and Linear Regression, Gini, information value, K statistic, R squared, population stability, etc.)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills including a knowledge of pivot tables, macros, etc. and presenting complex data in an understandable, graphical form
  • Previous credit risk management experience and experience of using statistical/data mining software (SPSS, SAS or SQL) desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and, at the same time, support the wider project team as needed
Qualifications and experience

Educated to degree level (mathematics, statistics or related subject), 2.1 or above.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm with one hour for lunch. Hybrid working with 2 days in the office a week, one day being a Tuesday.
